Day 7 - 1/7/09 - Movie #7
BEFORE: Michele joined me for this one, we watched the first 2 Shrek films together, the first one repeatedly on our honeymoon cruise.
THE PLOT: When his new father-in-law, King Harold falls ill, Shrek is looked at as the heir to the land of Far, Far Away. Shrek recruits his friends Donkey and Puss in Boots to install the rebellious Artie as the new king.
AFTER: I really don't have much to say - they managed to advance the Shrek story without messing with it very much, bring in another bazillion dollars, and entertain America - I guess. But haven't we modernized the old fairy tales enough yet?
RATING: 6 out of 10 ogre-babies.
